Joshua Belk

     As an Interdisciplinary Folk Artist, Joshua Belk connects the wondrous ebb and flow of Earth with the abhorrent yet tender nature of our species through poetry and song. He has always had a deep love for the planet and strives to portray this adoration through finger-picked melodies and words, as well as visual collage work. Joshua strives to build bridges, joining planetary spirituality with humanity.

 

     Joshua’s creative process is influenced by familiar voices like that of Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan, as well as inspiring artists including Folk Artist Ayla Nereo and Singer-songwriters Vera Sola and Anna Ash. Combined with his own creative approach, Joshua has shaped his unique vision for musicality. This discovered individuality has fueled his creative direction, allowing him to weave sonnets and paint imaginative scapes through song and spirit, that are both fruitfully dynamic and notably comforting.

 

     Moving forward, Joshua plans to break barriers within sound design, as well as in music, poetry, and gentle reflection by combining innovation with sincerity.
